| The Forester Lodge is conveniently located in the heart of Hunter, New York. We are less than a mile to Hunter Mountain Ski Bowl and less than ten miles to Windham Mountain Ski Resort. Those not interested in skiing or snowboarding can take advantage of the many other outdoor activities the Catskill Mountains provide such as snowmobiling, nordic skiing, snowshoeing, hunting, fishing, mountain biking and hiking. We're also close to a host of less sporty activites such as antiquing, shopping and dining. Summertime brings a host of music events and festivals to Hunter Mountain such as the Mountain Jam, Oktoberfest, Microbrew Fest as well as the Celtic, German festivals.
